Sometimes I See You On the Lawn

There are some things that I do everyday, like drink coffee and blog. There are some things that I do on a regular basis, such as watch 30 Rock and visit the library. However, there are many more things that I do in spurts for weeks, maybe months, and then not again for some time later. For example, watching The Daily Show. I can’t get enough of it right now. But there will come a time where I won’t watch it for a long while. No explanation, I just don’t. And then someone will mention an awesome clip from the show and I’ll be back watching for a few weeks.
Seeing live music is like that for me. Months will fly by and without going anywhere and then out of nowhere, I’ll see a show every weekend. It’s weird how that happens.
Anyways, I saw the Good Night States and the Bloodsugars this past weekend and I recommend you check them out. I’m going to see Donora and Lohio this weekend for Lohio’s CD release party. What’d I tell you about spurts, eh? They are also awesome.

This is Dan and he is GREAT.

Look at Abby and Jami. Those are faces that say “I LOVE THE PITTSBURGH MUSIC SCENE!!”

I knit in spurts, and I wish I could get myself to do it on a regular basis.

It makes me forget everything else going on, and I can just ‘be’. I miss it a lot! I usually drag Dan to one or two ‘big’ shows a year (from Keb Mo’ to Green Day). I can’t wait to start going with my kids!
